February Newsletter: Playable Ads Are Hot. So Is the Nordic Tech Scene.

Hi, it’s Karo from Quicksave!👋

February? Busy. New playable live, Barcelona to Stockholm in one week, and plenty of conversations about what’s next for AI and game growth. Here’s what went down.

In This Post 👇

  • New Client Project: Love & Pies playable ad, merging sweet treats into performance-driven engagement

  • From Barcelona to Stockholm: key takeaways from Gamesforum and TechArena

  • A big milestone: Quicksave turns 9 years (more on that next month 👀)

A Sweet New Playable Ad: Love & Pies

February brought another fresh customer project. This time, we teamed up with Trailmix to create a playable ad for Love & Pies. In the popular merge game, players rebuild and design a café while uncovering the story of Appleton.

Players follow Amelia as she restores her family café after a mysterious fire. By merging cakes, cookies, and other yummy ingredients, they serve customers, renovate rooms, unlock decorations, and gradually transform the café into a thriving business, all while discovering secrets along the way.

Our playable focuses on a tighter, satisfying slice of that experience: merging tasty treats to directly upgrade Amelia’s café. Combine items, unlock improvements, and see instant progress. Simple, rewarding, and immediately engaging, exactly what a strong playable ad should deliver!

Built with our AI-powered ad creation tools, this merge experience was turned into a fully interactive playable in record time. Huge thanks to Trailmix for choosing us to help bring Love & Pies to new audiences through the power of playable ads!

One Week, Two Conferences: Barcelona & Stockholm

Mid-February was all about movement. Our CEO Elina kicked things off at Gamesforum in sunny Barcelona (9.2.–10.2.) before heading straight to Stockholm (11.2.–12.2.) to join Ville-Kalle and Timo at TechArena.

As always, the meetings, conversations, and overall vibe delivered.

Here are Elina’s main takeaways from those events:

📍 Gamesforum, Barcelona

“Very varied agenda. In just one day I enjoyed meetings, a roundtable, workshop, and an evening mixer. A very nice combination of content! And as ever, playables are hot.”

📍 TechArena, Stockholm

“Lots of talk about AI realities and how it’s changing the startup landscape, what to keep an eye on.”
“Attended a roundtable with great takeaways. Due to the rapid change in the market, you need to grab your position fast, but also clearly show there is a real need and demand for the problem you’re solving, not just how you’re technically solving it. That’s what builds the business case.”
“Overall, the Nordic tech scene is booming!”

From game monetization conversations in Barcelona to AI-driven growth strategies in Stockholm, one theme connected them all: speed, clarity, and real value matter more than ever.

February was full speed in the best possible way: a sweet new customer project, back-to-back conferences across Europe, and conversations that confirmed we’re building in exactly the right direction.

And one more thing: this month, Quicksave turned 9 years! 🎉

Nine years of building, experimenting, learning, and pushing interactive experiences forward. We’ll share more about that milestone in next month’s newsletter.

Until then, onward!

See you in March! 👋

Quicksave Interactive is building a vibe creation platform: a secure, data-driven tool for publishing interactive and playable ads and web content. Powered by AI-driven tools, our platform makes it fast and easy to create high-performing formats. Interactive ads perform over 3x better than video ads, but have been costly and time-consuming to make, until now.

Our Finland-based team has a strong track record in interactive WebGL experiences, including Treasure Tails (Facebook), Werewolf Friends (Zoom), and Axie Infinity: Raylights (Ronin blockchain). Our game development Toolkit is also available for licensing.
