  • QSApp takes 1st place at the SXSW pitch competition 🎉
  • Quicksave’s founders tour the US, joining industry events & panels
  • Key moments from PGC & GDC, including talks by CEO Elina Arponen
  • New WordPress Plugin launch + March 11 release: Updates & fixes in UI and Machine Editors

March is traditionally one of the busiest travel months for us at Quicksave—and this year was no exception. Our founders Elina Arponen, Timo Kämäräinen, and Ville-Kalle Arponen packed their (now legendary) Quicksave-branded hoodies and hopped across the Atlantic to bring QSApp and interactive web innovation to some of the biggest stages in the industry.

🏆 Austin & Pitch Perfect SXSW

First stop: Austin, Texas. Our Creative Director Ville-Kalle touched down for the South by Southwest (SXSW) (March 7–13), where the week was full of inspiring talks, catching up with friends old and new, and high-level business chats. But the real headline?

🎉 Ville-Kalle entered the Open Pitch Competition at The International House by IA—and won 1st prize with his pitch for QSApp!

It’s a huge moment for us—not just because VK is clearly a pitch master who deserves cake at the office🎂—but because it shows QSApp is making serious waves, even among fierce international competition.

🌁 PGC & GDC: Quicksave in San Francisco

Post-SXSW, our founders reunited in San Francisco to attend the Pocket Gamer Connects and the Game Developers Conference.

On March 17, our CEO Elina took part in a panel at PGC titled:
“HTML5 Know-How – How Do Developers Approach Making Games for the Web?”
Joining experts from Crazy Games, Playgama, Tamalaki, and Niantic, the panel dug into the challenges, opportunities, and creative possibilities of HTML5 game development across platforms.

Just a few days later, on March 20, Elina also delivered her own GDC session:
“Are You Missing 10% of the Market?” The talk gave attendees an inside look at the HTML5 games market, backed by real examples and data—from acquisition to retention to monetization—and mapped out how distribution platforms are evolving right now.

✨ New Features: WordPress Plugin + UI & Machine Editor Upgrades

Even during a travel-packed month, our dev team didn’t miss a beat. Alongside our Editor updates, we also launched a brand new WordPress Plugin—making it easier than ever to embed QSApps into WordPress sites. Plus, on March 11, we rolled out fresh updates to both the UI Editor (v2.101.1) and Machine Editor (v1.89.1). Here’s what’s new:

🔌 New QSApp Update: WordPress Plugin

We’ve made embedding QSApps into WordPress sites simpler than ever with our new QSApp WordPress Plugin. Now, you can easily add a QSApp to any WordPress post or page using a shortcode and your QSApp ID.

By using the QSApp WordPress plugin, you’ll enjoy all the benefits of a high-quality, interactive web experience seamlessly embedded into your WordPress website—with minimal effort. Just plug it in, and you’re good to go!

🎨 UI Editor (v2.101.1)

This release introduced a Universal Mac build, meaning QSApp Editors now run smoothly on both x64 and ARM-based Macs.

We also made some usability improvements:

  • Newly created Nodes are now easier to spot in the Editor View, with set default position, size, and text values.
  • We squashed a few bugs🐞—including one where the Editor window wouldn’t open after launching, and another that blocked access before entering a valid license key.

⚙️ Machine Editor (v1.89.1)

Of course, Machine Editor wasn’t left behind. It now also supports the Universal Mac build, benefits from improved license validation, and includes the same bug fixes as the UI Editor.

And for Mac users:

  • You can now use Command+A to Select All States—a small tweak, but a big time-saver.

While our travel adventures are wrapping up for now, we’re more than ready for spring and summer. With exciting projects ahead and QSApp continuing to lead the charge, the best is definitely yet to come.

Stay tuned—big things on the horizon. 🌱🚀

Catch you next month—until then, I hope you have a great spring!☀️
